**See LINKS, below, to explore some of our destinations!

Note: Our itinerary may change slightly... but always with the best photographic potential in mind.

Day 1
 June 10

Depart today from San Diego International Airport to Venezia, Italia.  Following our transfer from the airport to our home-away-from-home / hotel, the group will immediately embark on an orientation walk of Venice.  The best thing to do in Venice is "get lost".  Because we're on a small island, you can walk and walk and walk and feel somewhat 'lost' but you're still in Venice and always only minutes from the Grand Canal, St. Mark's cathedral, and all the main attractions here.

Day 2
June11

Venezia is made for walking, so we will explore the city on foot, or use your 3-day pass to ride the many vaporetti (city 'buses' on the water) to any part of Venice you'd like to explore.  Night shooting at Piazza San Marco.

Day 3
June12

Today’s photographic opportunities will allow us another full day in Venezia, with ample time to shoot, shop, eat, and visit museums.  Night shooting along the Grand Canal, the Rialto Bridge, the Bridge of Sighs, and more.

Day 4
June13

After breakfast and maybe some last-minute shooting and shopping, we'll check out of our hotel and take a boat over to the train station.  Firenze (Florence) awaits us.  We'll take a get-acquainted tour of Firenze, then start shooting.

Day 5
June14

We'll have a full day to explore Firenze, the home of Renaissance art.   Visit museums, shop for leather, stroll through Boboli Gardens, climb to the top of the Duomo and the Campanile (400 steps each!) and walk across the famous Ponte Vecchio (bridge).  Night shooting at the Duomo.

Day 6
June 15

Today, after breakfast, we will board a train for a day-trip to Siena, a beautiful medieval town in the heart of the hills of Tuscany.

Day 7
June16

At noon, we will head west to the Italian Riviera region known as the Cinque Terre (Chink-wah Terr-eh).  We will be staying in the beautiful small coastal town of Levanto.  You will have a 3-day Cinque Terre Card allowing you to hop on the local trains and visit any of the small villages, just minutes apart, or you can walk/hike from town to town.  Each tiny village is built into the rocky shore.  You can enjoy local wines here, and... this is the home of pesto!  Mmm... mmm!

Day 8
June 17

The recommended itinerary for today: hop on the train to Riomaggiore, then 'hike' to Manarola (1/2 mile), on to Corniglia, up to Vernazza, have dinner, then take the train back to our hotel (10 minutes.)  What a great day on the coast!  (We visited here in 2006 and the group didn't want to leave!)

Day 9
June 18

Another full day to explore the picturesque coastal villages of the Cinque Terre by foot... or take a boat tour of the Cinque Terre or down to Portovenere or up to Portofino.  Decisions.

Day 10
June 19

After our final breakfast in the Italian Riviera, we will board our train to Milano (Milan), then on to Lake Como, nestled in the northern tip of Italy, only one mile from the Swiss border.

Day 11
June20

Today we can explore Como City and maybe ride the funicular up to Brunate.  Or maybe you'll take a boat tour and try to see if George Clooney is out on the dock of his villa, here on Lake Como.

Day 12
June21

A full day to explore Lake Como: Bellagio, Varenna, Como, or maybe take a taxi over to Lake Lugano in Switzerland.

Day 13
June22

All good things must come to an end.  We depart Lake Como and fly home from Milano.  Or maybe you'll stay a day or two in Milano?  Or travel on to Roma or Barcelona or Paris or...  ???

Day 14
